Pastoral Care

Pastoral Care

“The learning that was made by the students has been invaluable. The deeper understanding of how to treat people and seeing situations from various points of view has helped the boys form great friendships in class and work together more effectively in learning situations.” – Marty Willetts, Year7/8 Dean and Middle School Leader, St Paul’s College

Addressing family violence

We provide a range of programmes designed to complement school’s pastoral care provision, based on the identified needs of the students.

Jade Speaks Up is a family violence resource developed by Violence Free Waitakere that helps young people put safety strategies in place to support them should violence occur in their lives. It is aimed at Years 5-8.

The Logos Project has delivered Jade Speaks Up as a combination of classroom sessions and a physical challenge such as a high ropes confidence course at the end of the programme.

The Logos Project team took part in bespoke training from Violence Free Waitakere in order to be competent and confident in delivering this programme, and participate in regular training and supervision.
